The Kraken in Pursuit

Definitely the most complex and time consuming piece I've done to date. Started off as another simple Victarion portrait featuring him on his ship with a simple sunset background.

Upon finishing it however, I decided it was far too similar to my previous depiction of Vic and needed some serious additions and alterations if I was going to be satisfied with it.

Over about three weeks, I slowly added more and more characters, eventually changing the entire colour scheme and lighting as well as adding a pain-in-the-ass rain effect that I couldn't quite nail. I eventually grew tired of tweaking it and just posted it as it is now.

I think it's good, not what it could have been if I had more patience but overall I'm satisfied. I think it took somewhere in the neighbourhood of 50 hours, maybe more. Completed on the 8th of March 2017
